JOIN SOUND CYCLE AND THE BORDERS YOUNG CREATIVES FOR AN AFTERNOON WORKSHOP FOLLOWED BY AN EVENING GIG.

 One Two!

Have you ever wondered.. What’s a “get in“, do you know your feedback  from your  foldback?How is a gig is set up, what’s “sub“?What are  monitors for? Who runs the lights, and what  does a mixing desk do?..What is a Sound check? Why do engineers shout “One Two, One Two endlessly into the mics?

Then this is for you.

Sound Cycle , in partnership with  Borders Young Creatives  will be running a full  get in , set up and soundcheck workshop  on  the afternoon of  Sat 9th March , in the main venue  at Mac Arts,  with several young borders musicians and bands, some of whom feature on Sound Cycles latest  album, Warp , followed by a gig at 7pm , featuring the workshop participants .The gig  is open to the public ,the workshop requires participants to sign up: email Ayliffe.Rose@LiveBorders1.org.uk    James@youthborders.org.uk

Get in 2pm , set up 2.30 pm soundcheck’s 3 till 5.30pm

Saturday 9th March, Mac Arts , Bridge Street, Galashiels TD1 1SP

In the evening  we’ll be running the gig from 7pm.  Solo acts, singer songwriters, indie bands, duo’s and trios, all are invited  to come and learn about the art of gigging.If it’s you first performance or your  fifteenth, it’s a great opportunity to gain some insight and experience into how a gig is put together, and how it’s played!

IF YOU WISH TO ATTEND THE AFTERNOON  SOUNDCHECK AND TECH WORKSHOP YOU WILL HAVE TO SIGN UP FOR A PLACE. THE EVENING CONCERT IS OPEN TO ALL.
